SCRATCHING AN ITCH

It has been pointed out by admirers and detractors alike that Rulani Mokwena seems to share many characteristics with Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, to the point that some South Africans call him ‘Pep Lite’. One of the signature Guardiolisms he appears to have adopted is scratching his cheek when thoughtful or worried. Guardiola does this a lot too, but he has an actual beard to scratch. Mokwena does not. It might, of course, be pure coincidence that they both have this habit.
