Warding off voters

ActionSA contested its second by-election in the

Eastern Cape this past week when it stood for a ward in the Enoch Mgijima municipality. The party issued a press statement on Thursday titled “Enoch Mgijima By-Election: ActionSA Proud of its Growth”.

The party bragged it was cementing its position among the top four parties in the province. While it’s true ActionSA came fourth, the huge gap between the ANC’s 1,428 votes and the party’s 79 was hard to miss.
