HEAT WAVES

A couple cools off on the Sea Point promenade in Cape Town yesterday during a blistering heatwave in the Western Cape. Coastal areas also experienced large waves driven by strong winds and spring tides. Residents were advised to stay out of the sun this weekend, with temperatures expected to soar to 44°C in parts of the province.
